Nathan's Last Supper

Tonight we had a real feast for Nathan's last supper before having his wisdom teeth out in the morning.  We enjoyed the last of our beef - rib eye steaks!  We also had some yummies from the garden - squash casserole, grilled yellow squash, fresh cantaloupe, and a favorite - jalapeno poppers!  The jalapenos are huge right now, so we pigged out.  We tried to separate the seeded poppers (for Nathan and Daddy) from the de-seeded peppers (for the rest of us), but there were still some HOT peppers in the de-seeded batch!  Nathan enjoyed every bite, and is hoping this really isn't his last supper for awhile. :)

There hasn't been much news to report.  PIG's are plugging along in school, still working on shoring up weak areas before starting the major curriculum in a couple weeks (or whenever their teacher feels up to the task...).  Nathan had his online C programming class start this week so he was actually home most of this week which was nice after having him gone all summer.

Nathan and PIG's started speech club this week.  Nathan plans to compete in both speech and debate competitions this year.  PIG's are a bit terrified of having to memorize and deliver speeches this year, but it should be good for them. :)

Nathan's full school starts next week if his teacher ever gets her act together to make the lesson plans and put together his syllabus. :)

And the final bit of trivia, Andy wants to go to our 20 year reunion from the Academy at the end of September.  Should be...interesting. :)

JJPIG's wanted to show off with pictures:

Popper heaven! :)

Peanut

Goofball.  For some annoying reason unknown to myself, Isaac won't smile his winsome smile anymore, only make a wide variety of goofy faces.  ergh.

Grace said, "Take a picture of me with my eyes crossed so I can see what it looks like!"  Isaac and Promise said, "Lets' be goofy for Danielle!" :)

Sometimes he can be cute.  :)  Funny story: I always tease the kids their birthdays are cancelled.  With Joshua's birthday next week, he asked if his birthday was also cancelled.  I told him, "No, we don't' stop at three."  lol

Joy Anna is growing up.  She rides the plasma car by herself now.

I tried to get them to pose nicely in front of the roses...this is what I got.

Only a few more days of the terror-ible three's! :)

Took this picture for Danielle - your flowers are still blooming, though nothing looks as pretty as it did for your graduation.
